SKINCARE
How many times do you wash your face daily?
Once a day. I sometimes use facial wipes at night
What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
Normal to Combination in summer. Drier in Winter
What is your current facial wash?
I swap around a lot. It’s a toss up between some type of Gommage or a creamy cleanser. Murad’s clearing cleanser is my fave but it’s pricey
Do you exfoliate?
Yes. I’m a big fan of chemical exfoliating pads and toners. i hate the feel of something gloppy or stinging on my face. I do some physical exfoliation in the shower.
What moisturizer do you use?
For daytime I use mostly serums. Then whatever I’m testing slapped on top.
Do you have freckles?
Not on my face. I do have them on my chest
Do you use eye cream?
Yes. But I usually use a face cream that’s richer than what I can use on my face.
Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I have had acne prone skin. It’s better now that I’m older. I still get get a zit about once a month. Mostly from falling asleep with makeup on (yeah ,I know)
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Yep. I hated it. It made my skin worse Plus its not cruelty free.
MAKEUP
What foundation do you use?
It’s a toss up between a foundation with spf or a BB or CC cream. I like the spf. The only bb cream I have on hand right now is the elf one.
How about concealer?
I still haven’t found one that is my holy grail. I’m trying Revolution beauty concealer now.
Do you know your undertone color?
Cool tones
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
Never worn them. I might for a big event.
Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
I did, I’m not too faithful on that. Luckily most dry out by then.
What brand of mascara do you use?
Right now I’m loving bare minerals. I love trying new stuff so I’m always switching around.
Sephora or MAC?
Definitely Sephora. Never MAC . They test on animals.
Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No. They test on animals.
What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Makeup sponges, Face and eye brushes, and lash curlers.
Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes. I know some use concealer for that. It’s not my practice.
For the face?
Not a big fan. I can’t stand the feeling of wearing a thick mask like stuff on my face. Primer waters & facial sprays are my primers right now. I’d like to find a light one with spf.
What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Hmm. Tough one. I’m an eyeshadow junkie. Peach? Teal?
Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I like both! Depends on my mood.
How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not often.
What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Not a fan. I’m too pale.
Do you use mineral makeup?
In summer I do. My skin is oilier then.
What is your favorite lipstick?
Another tough one. I’m not brand loyal. I’m more shade loyal.
How about lipgloss?
Yes but nothing with mint! UGH. Don’t want to burn my lips or something that tastes like toothpaste.
What is your favorite blush to use?
My Becca Palette. It contains retinol. Still my favorite. The next is bareminerals blush
Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I used to. I’m pretty good at finding a bargain where I don’t use it now.
Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes! Amazing how much cruelty free you can find at drugstores now.
Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)
No. None near me.
Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I would have loved to take one from Kevyn Aucoin. He’s the master in my mind. I love his books.
Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No
Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Overdrawn lips. Too heavy brows.
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Both!
Which celebrity always has great make up? I don’t follow celebs much. Just not my thing. IDK
If you could leave the house using just ONE makeup item,what would you use?
Mascara
Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I do it all the time! I’m braver now. But I try not to leave without sunscreen
Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
No but life happens with or without makeup.
In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
That’s tough! High end or low end? 😉

I think of it as art & the face the canvas.
