Review of First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream

Water Creams have become very popular in the last few years. What is a water cream?

They’re water-based, which makes them feel kind of like a soft cloud of gel.  As moisturizing as the creams go, they’re mostly oil-free. Water creams, sometimes called “water packs” or “water masks,” are a fitting name.

Scent: Of course it’s coconutty! This an odd coconut mixed with Baby powder smell. I didn’t love it. It does fade over time though. The scent seems to fade in about 20 minutes.

Texture: Cream gel. Smooth. Glides on. It’s not tacky or sticky. Non-Greasy.

Color: Opaque Milky white. Goes on clear.

Performance: The formula absorbs immediately into skin. It feels powdery after the dry down. It feels a talc finish although there is no talc in the formula. I have normal skin so this wasn’t enough moisture for me. I can’t tell I put anything on my face. Even a double layer didn’t make a difference in moisture. My skin did not appear smoother or reduced in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Neither did my skin fell or appear smooth, soft and plumped.  I had high hopes for this moisturizer as I like the formulation but it was a big letdown.

Who should use this? Those with extra oily skin. Those that live in super warm climates. If you have dry skin, you’re going to need something with oil that will help retain moisture by enforcing the lipid barrier.
