Unilever is a big company big on animal testing. It has research facilities in the United Kingdom (two), the Netherlands, China, India and the United States.
If they are claiming to be environmentally friendly that should include not testing on animals. You would think that would be something they are proud enough to list. There is no bunny logo (internationally known logos for being cruelty free) They are a huge conglomerate that can definitely afford to have their product vetted and listed as cruelty free. And I have saying about that,“No bunny, No money.”
They do however claim to be vegan. That’s fine and all but the parent company still tests on animals.
Unilever has also been pursuing a parallel strategy of acquiring companies in hot areas. In 2016 the company bought eco-friendly cleaning products company Seventh Generation, as well as Dollar Shave Club to get into the male grooming category and direct-to-consumer market.
