Is Make Up For Ever Cruelty Free?
Make Up For Ever is a French makeup brand owned by LVMH (they own Sephora). MAKE UP FOR EVER has been part of the world leader luxury group LVMH since 1999. They can be found at Sephora as well as boutique stores worldwide. Their goal is being brand for makeup artists and professionals. MAKE UP FOR EVER is the only brand with a worldwide network of makeup schools from Paris to Shanghai.

MAKE UP FOR EVER is distributed in over 60 countries. Fresh and Dior are also brands owned by LVMH that are not cruelty-free. LVMH is a company that tests on animals.
Make Up For Ever doesn’t have an animal testing statement on their website. They do have a FAQ, which contains some 50 questions, none of them addressing animal testing or their cruelty-free policy.

MAKEUP FOREVER exports its products worldwide, including to China, where the authorities require us to make our products available to be tested in state-certified laboratories for registration purposes. We would like to stress that these tests are not carried out by us, the brand, but by Chinese authorities.
As of 2020, China still requires most cosmetics to be tested on animals in order to be sold in the country. I’m sure there are moe the list of 60 countries that MAKEUP FOREVER sells to that test on animals as well. Frances animal testing (where they are manufactured) isn’t the best either even though they’re supposed to under EU modern guidelines.
Make Up For Ever is not PETA approved. Make Up For Ever does not have Leaping Bunny certification.
So Is Make Up For Ever Cruelty Free? No.
Make Up For Ever is a brand that I have been tempted to buy in the past. But it’s not like you can’t dupe at least some of their products.
