Burt’s Bees BB cream review. Is it a Hail Yes or a Heck No?

Burt's Bees BB cream review

The above pic is my tube of Burt’s Bees BB cream in Light.

Here are Burts Bees BB cream in Light claims : Somewhere between a lightweight foundation and a super-hydrating lotion, our BB Cream with Noni Extract offers 9 clinically shown benefits in 3 mineral-rich shades.

BENEFITS & CLAIMS

  • 98.9% natural
  • SPF 15 protection
  • Firms, conceals, smoothes, perfects, and illuminates skin
  • Evens skin tone and visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

My Review

Texture: Smooth. Creamy gel like. Goes on moisturizing but dries down strange. It looked greasy on parts of my face & dry on others.
Color: This was actually lighter than my skin. It gave me an opaque pasty look which hard to do since me skin is so white already. It didn’t cover my discolorations yet I still looked ghostly.

Performance:  The coverage wasn’t great on this. I’m used to my Dr Jart bb cream which has fantastic coverage. As I said it didn’t cover my discolorations yet I still looked ghostly. It was patchy at best. I didn’t find it to help my wrinkles at all or evening my skin tone .

Scent: This formula includes Noni juice which I think maybe the stinkiest substance on earth. I tried drinking it a long time ago for pain. It tasted like vomit. Any way when I first got it smelled of noni but dissipated quickly after application. A few months later that smell was so strong I just couldn’t use it any more. I don’t know if I got an old tube or it just spoiled quickly.

This was a deal breaker for me.  I won’t repurchase unless they reformulate. So it’s a Heck no!
