Tati Westbrook Glamlifeguru’s Halo Beauty Hair Skin Nail Supplement Hair Raiser

By now most people in the beauty community have heard of Tati Westbrook’s reveal of Halo Beauty hair, skin and nail vitamin. I also have no issue with supplements in general. In fact I’m doing my own trial for review with a wheat ceramide capsule ( my choice & I purchased it myself a while ago). Women slap ceramides on our skin all the time & think nothing of it. We start losing the ceramides in our bodies on our twenties and they steadily decrease with time. Ceramides are natural lipids (fats) and a major component of skin structure. These fats allow the skin to retain moisture. Moisturizers and other beauty products contain synthetic ceramides to replace those lost in the aging process. That’s what excited me most about her launch. I had hoped we would hear more about this newer oral ceramide technology. I talked about using one in my beauty resolutions for 2018.

tatiFirst off let me say I have no issue with Tati selling supplements. It’s a free country she can choose to sell whatever she likes. One thing that I really liked was that the pills are vegan & cruelty free. Yay for her on that!

Added after more information learned. Come to find out Tati’s CeramideRX was tested on mice in Japan.  Testing on animals is not okay. Lying about it is even worse.

What did weird me out was the way the announcement was formed and a few key words. Like MAGICAL.

AND a mob mentality from some subscribers that sounded much like pitchforks and torches look in a standoff. Brutal. I feel this could have been avoided some what ( you can’t please everybody) and here’s why:

I felt she left out critical information I need as a consumer and former medical professional. Like before & after pictures and Clinical diagrams of in vivo studies with double-blind placebo being the gold standard for testing. Studies that are in vivo (Latin for “within the living”; are those in which the effects of various biological entities are tested on whole, living organisms or cells, usually animals, including humans, and plants, as opposed to a tissue extract or dead organism.

Tati’s now having to do what she should have done in the first place which is give full disclosure instead of feely magical words. At first glance this looked like hair loss supplement for men because of the inclusion of saw palmetto.

As a whole doctors & everyday people are uneducated in the field of vitamins and minerals along with nutrition. I have a sister-in-law who is a Physician’s Assistant and even she admits that that part of her education was minimal at best. So Tati has big issue on her plate.  Not just condoning and endorsing but educating as well.

Of course any good consumer will know the caveat emptor (The axiom or principle in commerce that the buyer alone is responsible for assessing the quality of a purchase before buying) or simply buyer beware of anything ingested. Funny though some people will buy just about any skin care without knowing one ingredient thinking it will be “magic” for their skin. They easily believe the claims made and move quickly to their own personal trial not feeling anything at all like guinea pig.

Honestly I feel the price is exorbitant but I will tell you oral ceramides are NOT cheap! And I’m not sure the 40mg is enough milligram’s of the Halo Beauty CeramideRX proprietary ingredient to make that much of a difference. I think it would depend on a person’s age. The older you are the more you would need because the loss is greater.  AND to be honest I hope oral ceramides are magical! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Do I plan on trying Halo Beauty ? No. For me its cost prohibitive and I’m not needing the other ingredients.

I wonder if folks would have such fit had it been a protein shake like thing. I see many ingesting that kind of thing for beauty sake.

I had really hoped she would get it right. I think she just got the cart before the horse.
